Saving America's Horses A Nation Betrayed officially selected for the 2011 Artivist Film Festival

For Immediate Release: (Los Angeles, CA, May 4, 2011) –A Nation Betrayed Selected to Screen at Artivist Film Festival

Wild for Life Foundation, Humanion Films is delighted to announce that that "Saving America's Horses - A Nation Betrayed” has been officially accepted into the Artivist Film Festival.

The 8th Annual Artivist Film Festival will take place on July 8 – 10th, 2011, at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California. This year the Artivist Collective will also host film screenings in seven U.S. cities simultaneous with its main Festival event in Los Angeles. Films to be screened at the additional cities have not yet been announced.

"We are thrilled to have been selected for programming in the much celebrated Artivist Film Festival in Los Angeles and we look forward to taking part in this great event", said filmmaker Katia Louise.

The Artivist Film Festival received an exceptionally high volume of quality film submissions for this year’s Festival. Since its inception in 2003, Artivist has screened 400+ films representing more than 60 countries, and has produced film festival tours in Los Angeles, New York, London, Tokyo, Mexico City, and Lisbon, that have reached more than 35 million people. Among the films presented at the Artivist Film Festival over the years have been Academy Award winner “Born Into Brothels” and Academy Award nominee “Super-Size Me”.

Saving America’s Horses A Nation Betrayed screens next at the International Wildlife Film Festival in Montana on May 7th and 10th, 2011.

The International Wildlife Film Festival (IWFF) is presenting Katia Louise of Humanion Films four awards for her latest film Saving America’s Horses A Nation Betrayed.

Saving America’s Horses A Nation Betrayed is a featured selection of the 2011 Festival and has been awarded as a Winner, with Honorable Mentions recognizing this film for its excellence in Cinematography, Editing, Conservation Message & Advocacy. “Saving America’s Horses A Nation Betrayed is a must-see film for anyone who treasures the beauty and significance of the horse, a living symbol of the American west,” said Janet Rose, Executive Director of IWFF.
